At the World Lighthouse Worship center we have been in the study of Yahweh, which is God revealing Himself, deliverer, redeemer and savior. This is the name that God revealed to Moses at the burning bush.  He was saying I have always been the one and I will always be and there is no other. 

In John 8, Jesus reveals himself as I AM, “Yahweh”.  Jesus said unto them in verse 58, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.  The name of Jesus is our authority.  When we call upon it we have deliverance, redemption and salvation. 

John 14:12-14 says,  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 

In this passage, that word ask means require.  When you require something, you are putting a demand on it. This is talking about more than prayer. It is referring to putting a demand on the greater works by the authority of the name of Jesus.  Peter and John at the gate beautiful spoke to the lame man and put a requirement on the name of Jesus and the greater works were done.  (Acts 3)

Note that you are not demanding God. You are demanding Satan!  When we use the name of Jesus as power of attorney of His name, we are invoking all the authority invested in Jesus who is Yahweh.  Whatever you are facing otday  speak to it! Command that mountain to get out of your way in the name of Jesus.  

Confession:                                                                                                                                            As a believer, the name of Jesus belongs to me. When he gave me his name, he gave me his authority.  When his spirit filled me, he gave me his power.  So by the power invested in me, in the name of Jesus, I command lack to leave, sickness to go and all evil to leave my presence in Jesus name!
