Proverbs 16:21-24
(New International Version)
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD .
The wise in heart are called discerning,
and pleasant words promote instruction.
Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it,
but folly brings punishment to fools.
A wise man’s heart guides his mouth,
and his lips promote instruction.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
*The New Century Version states that pleasant words are like a
honeycomb, making people happy and healthy.
This morning as I was meditating in Proverbs 16, the Lord reminded me of the power of life and death in our words. God’s word is pleasant. God’s word has instruction. God’s word is a fountain of life. Taste and see how wonderful He is as you declare pleasant words. It will bring you into His rest emotionally and healing physically.
Just a reminder that you hold power in your mouth. Release your faith to declare His word today
